Scrum Master

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced scrum master to join our team. You will work with our customers, engineering teams and product owners and to deliver outcomes. This includes:

• Coordinating sprints and ensuring that all Scrum events (such as planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives) take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the sprint plans
• Organising and leading Scrum ceremonies – acting as a bridge between the development team, product managers and stakeholders
• Helping the team continuously make progress on the project and helping to remove any obstacles to the team’s progress
• Planning, Estimating and Forecasting with the team to make sure that work is always delivered to agreed estimates with stakeholders
• Partnering with Delivery Leads to manage an agile, highly technical team of developers
• Working with product owners to handle backlogs, new requests and priorities
• Facilitating internal communication and effective collaboration
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of activities
• Guiding and coach the teams and organisation to follow Agile/Scrum practices
• Guiding and coach the teams to become self-organised
• Improving transparency within the teams

About You

• You are from a technical or development background with experience leading the activities of engineering resources
• You have a strong Scrum Master background
• You have a minimum first level certification e.g. CSM, PSM I, etc. A second or third level certification is desirable e.g. PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC
• You possess excellent communication skills
• You have worked in integration delivery projects and have a good sense of the delivery cycle of integration, key deliverables and outcomes
• You have an understanding of DevOps or worked within a DevOps culture
• You are a strong team leader – proven experience leading a highly technical, development team
• You have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies
• You have the ability and confidence to adapt Agile principles to a new situation.
• You have demonstrable skills in stakeholder management, both internal and external
• You have deep interest in improving processes and continuous improvement
